This, the short shaft variant, is designed for AR36, Thompson, AUG and AK AEGs.
Like the Warhead CNCBlack motor used in Bolster Armouries builds, the Base boasts an ESC (electronic speed control)module which protects your battery, provides low-voltage cutoff and regulates speed to keep the immense power of the Base under control. The primary difference between the Base and the CNCBlack is that the base uses a cast aluminium housing instead of a CNCmachined one and the stator is wound via machines while the CNCBlack is hand-wound.
The advantages of running a brushless motor are numerous, the most important of which is a far higher torque to weight ratio than conventional motors. If you’re working on a budget beast of an AEG build, the Warhead IndustriesBase Brushless Motor belongs inside! This, the short shaft version is designed for AR36, AK, AUG andThompson AEGs and comes packaged with a D-type pinion gear and pinion spring with pre-mounted spade connectors. Motor installation is a relatively easy job in most cases, but given the sheer power of even the lowest-speed variant of the Warhead Base motor, we recommend doing a lot of research before attempting installation.
Conceived as a lower-cost alternative to the Warhead CNCBlack Brushless motor, the Base uses a cast aluminium housing and machine-wound stator to keep the price low while providing comparable performance. The magnets used for the Base are the same level of quality as those used in the CNCBlack, making it a great alternative for those who want to save a few quid on their high-performance build.
Like the CNC Black, the Base is equipped with an ESC (electronic speed control) module which can be replaced easily thanks to its modular design.
