12/5/24 – This is a terrific, original Colt 1911A1 from 1943.It is an early ’43 example with matching numbered slide before Colt removed this step in production.Proper Colt barrel with ‘G’ under lug.The original parkerized finish is excellent, rating at 97-98% with minor high edge wear around the muzzle and very slight wear on the underside of the slide from being racked/cycled.Strong, shiny bore.Minty grips with no notable defects.Postwar mag.
