11/11/24 – This is a super rare Walther PP rig that was part of a Luftwaffe contract order in 1940. The pistol is one of only 1,500 produced in 9mm Kurz, with waffenamts on frame and slide, as well as high-polish blued finish. The Luftwaffe contract guns were originally issued with two matching numbered magazines. This one comes as a rig with an un-numbered magazine and a generic tan leather holster (fits the gun well and seems to have been together for a long time). The gun’s original bluing rates somewhere between 85-90% with muzzle wear, light spotty wear along the slide, and some dulling on the grip straps. Fitted with period-correct black bakelite grips. Minty bore.
