Description
11/19/24 – This is a great example of a Model 1889 Prussian Officer’s Sword. The blade on this sword is in excellent overall condition, and retains ~99% of it’s original nickel finish, and has no signs of sharpening on the blade edge. The blade has standard scabbard wear, but this wear is really light. The handguard, pommel, and cross guard, are in great overall condition, but does have honest wear. The handle is in great condition and still retains its ray-skin leather wrap as well as the wire wrap. The handle has the cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm the Second on the left side. The hand guard additionally features an eagle with the cypher of the Kaiser on it’s chest. The scabbard on this sword is in great overall condition, but does have some minor patina and oxidation towards the tip.
