Description
9/20/19 – This is an extremely hard to find P Code Series Krieghoff Luger, with Heinrich Krieghoff frame inscription! ¬ In 1935-36, about 10,000 excellent Krieghoff lugers were supplied to the Luftwaffe, but a little more than 1,000 or so were rejected by the Luftwaffe inspectorate on technicalities such as excessive headspace. ¬ These otherwise flawless guns were sound enough to be sold for commercial use, and received a P-prefix before the serial number on the frame. ¬The rejection stamp on this one can be seen as a five-pointed star on the right side of the receiver. ¬The left side of the frames on these pistols were inscribed “Heinrich Krieghoff Waffenfabrik Suhl”, and this correct marking can also be found on the pistol listed above. ¬This particular pistol has about 95-96% of its original finish, with some wear on the muzzle, the side plate and left side of barrel, as well as a little patina on the straps. ¬It has a 6in or 150mm barrel, and is chambered in 7.65mm (.30 Luger). The magazine appears to be a correct commerical Krieghoff mag, which would not have received a Krieghoff proof, and it is 15 digits off from the serial of the pistol. ¬Correct and beautiful Krieghoff grpis. ¬Mirror bore. ¬Could be years before you see another one quite like this!
