Description
11/8/24 – This is an original 1943 production Smith Corona 03-A3 rifle made for use in WWII. The rifle is in great overall condition. The stock shows the FJA inspection mark and a faint crossed cannons cartouche. The numerals “21” on the right side at the receiver area. Circle ‘P’ and the number 2 behind the trigger gaurd. The wood appears to have been slightly re-finished. Very minor hairline crack just behind the bolt. The barrel is ’43 dated and “S.C.” stamped with a flaming bomb and a ‘P’ on the bottom of the muzzle. The bolt assembly has small “R” stamp. The bore is very nice with strong rifling and rates about an 8 of 10. Smooth operation and fully functional.
