1/30/19 – This is a scarce Walther P.38, marked ac 40 on slide, one of only ~12,000 produced.This is a lower production total than early zero series Walthers or first-year production Mauser byf 42’s.The original finish on this one rates at about 80%, with the majority of thinning on the front strap and the right side of the slide.The pistol is all matching aside from the magazine, which is numbered to a different pistol but just a few hundred digits off and in the proper serial block.The grips are waffen proofed and matching numbered to the gun.Excellent bore.De-cocker is functioning properly.
