5/24/19 – This is a scarce Walther P.38, marked ‘ac 40’ on slide, one of only ~12,000 produced.This is a lower production total than early zero series Walthers or first-year production Mauser byf 42’s.The original finish on this one rates at about 80%, with uniform thinning on the barrel, slide and front strap.The pistol is all matching aside from the magazine, which is correct but numbered to a different pistol.The grips are waffen proofed and matching numbered to the pistol.Bore is excellent and shiny, but does have a little freckling near the muzzle.De-cocker is functioning properly.
