7/7/19 – This is an original Rock Island Arsenal marked holster for Colt Double Action ÄúNew ArmyÄù .38 caliber¬revolvers. Often referred to¬as¬1892/1896/1897/1901/1903 Flap Holsters. Maker marked and dated on the back¬1909.¬In¬good condition with embossed U.S. under the flap. Military unit number stamped on front flap. Missing the bottom cover and about 2″ of loose stitching. However, still a nice piece of US history and priced to sell.
