10/18/17 – For you “odd ball” collectors, this is one you want to take a look at. This is a Spreewerke made P.38 but left in the factory at the end of the war, then reworked by the Czech’s. The right side of slide has a single Eagle 88. Left trigger guard has E and Czech lion. Right side trigger guard is 46 marked – the year it was reworked. It has a cog hammer from 1945. All numbers match, but it was renumbered or in some cases, first numbered when it was reworked, post war. It has excellent grips that show a red painted lot number of ’60’ on each panel. I don’t know a lot about these guns but I know that even though they are post war assembly they are desired by collectors. Only a few thousand made! Mint bore. No import marks.
