5/8/17 – This is a rare byf 42 Mauser-made P.38. It is a first-year Mauser production, where only 19,000 of these wer made, making it only slightly more common than the zero series or Nazi-marked svw 45’s. It is all original, correct and matching, with proper wartime grips and an E/135 marked magazine. The original finish rates at about 90%, with a spot of finish loss and minor corrosion on the left side of the slide, and just general thinning on other parts of the pistol. Excellent bore.
