Description
10/30/24 – This is a beautiful example of a rare Nazi Mauser P.38 with ‘svw 45’ slide code, indicating it was made at the French Mauser factory but issued and accepted into the German military. There were only ~7,800 of this variation produced with dual-tone finish. This one is in near-mint condition, retaining nearly all of its finish. Just hints of high edge wear and a couple of small dots of discoloration on the right side of the slide (typical for phosphate finishes). Fitted with black plastic Mauser grips and comes with a rare, late-war, “U” marked “Waffen 135” Mauser magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is light freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional.
