12/1/20 – This is a very nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 that was issued to the German police force in the 1920’s. It is all matching and has a “Crown U” proof. It has a “1920” date on the left side of the slide and what appears to be a police arsenal marking on the front strap. It has retained roughly 75-80% of its original bluing. There is wear on the front strap and spotty wear on much of the slide. It has an excellent wood grip and a period-correct grip. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling.
