Description
5/26/19 – Original Model 1873 Springfield Trowel Bayonet for the 45/70 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle. Constructed of 100% steel, this socket bayonet was developed to serve double duty as a combat bayonet and an entrenching tool. Nice looking patina throughout. Socket mechanism rotates properly. The blade is 10″ long and 3-3/8″ wide, with a reinforced spine.
