11/14/24 – This is a very nice example of an AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All matching with the proper “Eagle 359” military proofs. It comes as a rig with a black leather, soft shell holster and two period-correct “Eagle 359” marked Walther magazines. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. The majority of the wear is on the front strap, but there is also minor muzzle wear, and a couple of areas of thinning on the the slide. Fitted with great, very dark brown bakelite grips. The bore has strong rifling with very little wear. De-cocker is functional with smooth operation overall. The holster has strong leather and intact stitching, but it is showing some age wear and a small hole at the bottom of the mag pouch.
