Description
6/10/20 – This is a terrific example of a second run M1A1 paratrooper carbine as produced by Inland in late 1944. ¬The rifle appears all correct for a second run example, with about 98% of the original blue remaining. ¬There’s very little finish loss on the metal parts but there is some freckling on the barrel and muzzle. ¬Barrel is dated to November of 1944. ¬P proof on the front of the pistol grip is common for second run rifles. ¬It’s also marked RI/3, which is also correct. ¬Rear sight is the adjustable variant. ¬Folding stock is original, including the buttplate and the cheekpad. ¬Bore is mint and hardly looks used. ¬The wood stock is in excellent condition aside from the very common indents where the folded stock presses against the left side.
