Description
11/18/24 – This is a nice example of a Mauser P.38 put together by the French using leftover Nazi parts immediately after WW2. The gun is all matching, has a French star on the right side of the slide, and has one “Waffen 135” Nazi military proof on the barrel. Fitted with desirable French metal “gray ghost” grips and comes with a waffen-proofed magazine. The gun has a phosphate finish which is difficult to rate. There is not a ton of actual finish loss, but there is light spotty oxidation/discoloration throughout (typical for these guns). The bore has good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional. The mag release button is a bit stiff and temperamental on this one.
