3/6/19 – This is a fantastic example of a very early and desirable Colt SP1 that predates the Vietnam War.Colt website dates the serial to 1964, and the serial implies this is the 1252nd ever made.All original with 96-98% finish remaining, showing only minor wear on the barrel and flash hider.Barrel is ‘M’ marked, and upper portion of receiver shows C proof in square.Early barrel is marked ’12’ on underside, indicating it has the 1×12 inch twist.Three prong flash hider is present, as is bayonet lug.Early triangular handguards and early style buttstock, with no provisions for internal storage.Minty bore and original sling.C&R eligible.
