11/22/24 – This is an early Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1915. It comes as a rig with a 1918-dated tan leather holster and a proper two-tone magazine. The gun has a WW2-era Colt .45 Auto barrel. Slide is a later-war variation but appears to have been matched with this frame a long time, given the congruent finishes. Virtually all of the finish is worn with light spotty oxidation throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips. Minty bore.
