Description
11/21/24 – This is an original Colt Model 1903 from 1913. It’s in fair condition, with about 65-70% of the original blued finish remaining throughout the slide and frame. The front and back straps have the most notable finish loss. The bore is still shiny but has pitting throughout, and the rifling grooves show a fair amount of wear; we rate the bore a 6.5/10. Grips are minty with virtually no wear. The magazine that comes with the pistol is a type III (Pinned bottom, two-tone, rounded top, and unmarked foot plate). The Type III magazines were only made for pistols between 1913 & 1914, so this magazine may be the original one issued to the gun in 1913. However, we cannot prove that, and it is only our assumption. Pistol is fully functional and works as it should.
