10/21/24 – This is a 1943 dated holster from WW2 Germany. The holster is dated and maker stamped “clg 43” under the closure strap. The “CLG” is for the German manufacturer Ernst Melzig and is typically found with waffen eagle WaA B66, but there is no waffen stamp on this holster that we could find. That likely means this holster was made for commercial use, and is appropriate with most 7.65mm Axis pistols such as the Walther PP, Sauer 38h, or Mauser HSC. The leather shows normal signs of previous use and aging along with some exterior scuffing and minor surface cracks in the side flap. No stitching issues. Fairly clean interior leather.
