Description

10/11/24 – This is an excellent DWM Luger with an interesting life cycle. It started its life during WWI (1917) when it was issued to the Imperial German military. It is all matching with the proper Imperial German military acceptance proofs. After the war, in the 1920’s, it was converted by Simson for use by the police. There are “Eagle 6” Simson proofs throughout. A police sear safety is installed, and it had a police magazine safety that has since been removed. Comes with a Weimar-era police “Star K” magazine – not matching. It has retained about 96% of its finish with a few marks on the front strap, a spot of wear at the base of the front strap, and very minor high edge wear. The grips are matching-numbered but feature the gun’s full serial number – this was likely done at a police arsenal. The left panel is cut for a magazine safety. Excellent bore with great rifling.
