8/19/24 – This is an excellent example of a hard-to-find Colt M1911A1, manufactured in 1941 with proper RS inspectors mark.¬ There were only ~35,000 Colt 1911’s produced that year, which is a very low production number for Colt 1911’s in general.¬ The RS – Robert Sears inspector proof is very rare and desirable for Colt collectors. This pistol is all correct with proper markings and matching numbered slide.¬ The parkerized finish rates at about 97% with a spot of wear on the left side slide/frame, and another on the trigger guard.¬ Excellent grips and bore.¬ ‘S’ marked magazine.¬ Colt marked barrel.¬
