Description
1/14/20 – Original WWII Era Japanese bayonet. Includes the rare, rubber covered, canvas scabbard. Straight cross guard, bird head pommel, straight wood grips, and a blade with the manufacturer mark of Matshusita National Denki (Matsushita National Electric Co.). Blade still shows original bluing, however, there is some indication of sharpening along with some age corrosion but no pitting. The tip of the blade and scabbard shows an impact mark from a possible drop sometime in the past. Wood handle is tight with no cracks. Pommel is stamped with a serial number. Scabbard shows wear but it is secure with tight stitching and rivets.
