If you want to shorten your MCX down a bit or you are going for a slick integrally suppressed look for your next build this outer barrel fromLaylax is just what you need. This barrel is 6.5 inches (17cm) in overall length and is constructed from aluminium for a perfect balance between low weight and strength.
At the tip of the barrel, we are treated to 14mm CCW male threading, allowing you to equip your MCX with a suppressor for sneaky duties. The tip of the barrel is wide enough to allow an inner barrel to pass straight through, meaning no need to mod it if you want to keep the original MCX inner barrel length.If installed on a standard MCX the barrel will be entirelybeneath the handguard,allowing you to mount a tracer unit or suppressor without increasing the overall length of your setup and give your riflethe “Honey Badger” look. If you are adding a tracer make sure you get a shorter inner barrel as well!
