This cartridge’s open tip flat base projectile is not intended for hunting, and it will not expand if it hits an immediate threat to your physical safety. The OTFB is exclusively designed around precision, which it supplies in full thanks to its concentric copper shell, form-fitted lead core, and flat, even base. The heavy 220 grain bullet will not pick up enough momentum in the barrel to break the sound barrier. In addition to eliminating sharp reports, this ammo makes transonic destabilization a moot point – the reason why its G1 ballistic coefficient (which reflects how effectively the bullet overcomes frontal air resistance) is so high at 0.680.
