Description
12/2/24 – This is a Colt Model 1911 from 1918. Un-marked barrel. It comes as rig with a 1942-dated holster and a WW2-era “L” marked magazine. It also comes with a copy of a signed letter from our consignor, explaining how his father used this gun as his service weapon during WW2. The pistol appears to have a very old re-blued finish that has become obviously discolored and splotchy over time. Fitted with worn wood grips. The bore has pretty good rifling with light pin-pricking throughout.
