Dated Added: 12/14 – This is a professionally restored 1906 Navy consignment gun. It is a First variation , unaltered, with Navy unit marking on back strap, only 21,000 were made in this variation, with a large amount lost to war and attrition. The unit looks like D.M.D, but we believe it is actually II.M.D which is Zweite Matrosen Division (Second Sailor Division) located at Wilhelmshaven, GE. and the serial number is in the correct range for a 1906. Unnumbered Navy magazine on a blued tube and unnumbered grips, and all parts seem original and correct.Bore looks good with strong landes and grooves.
