Description
8/22/23 – This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and has a mostly- visible Imperial mum on the receiver, even though it has been defaced. Interestingly enough, this one also comes equipped with a US M1 Garand leather sling. The metal parts have retained most of their finish. Although there is not much actual finish loss, there is light freckling covering almost all of the metal parts. Pitting on the butt plate. The stock shows usual signs of wear with a couple of more noticeable gouges here and there. Mint bore.NOTE:This rifle was converted to .30-06.
