Description
2/17/26 – This is an excellent example of the post-war Smith & Wesson Military & Police “Pre-Model 10” revolver that was manufactured between 1945 and 1948. This is an all-matching revolver with the barrel, yoke, cylinder, star extractor, and grip panel all serialized to the frame. This S&W has retained about 95% with only some muzzle wear and some thinning on the right side of the barrel. The cylinder shows a faint turn line. The wood grip panels (stamped with the matching serial number) show no signs of cracks or chips. The five inch barrel has a bright, mirrored finish with crisp rifling. Mechanically sound with proper timing and lock-up. This revolver comes with a period-correct gold Smith & Wesson box, though it does not show any serialization so we cannot confirm that it is the original box for the gun.
