Description
11/21/24 – This is an excellent example of a last-ditch Japanese Arisaka Type 99 rifle from 1945. It is all matching with a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. It has the proper late-war features, such as peep-style rear sight, crude bolt handle, rough machining, and wood butt plate. There is very little actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there are spots of minor oxidation and some very light surface rust around the muzzle. Excellent wood stock – very little sign of use. The front handguard wiggles a little bit. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
