2/27/20 – This is a nice example of a rare Mauser P.38, made in 1942, the first year of production.There were fewer than 20,000 of this variation produced, which is a very low production total for any wartime P.38 variation.This particular gun is all matching with 85-90% of the original, dust blue finish remaining.There is minor finish loss on the edges of the slide, muzzle, and firing pin cover.There is also some thinning/browning on the front strap.Minty bore.Mechanics are correct but the action is a little stiff.Likely just needs a good cleaning/oiling.Excellent grips, and a Mauser mag.
